As I post this on Friday, I struggle to remember what Tim preached on at all on Sunday.  Of course it was a memorable sermon, except when it is jammed in a quick hour between feeding a fussy baby and running around like crazy and still being 5 minutes late for service.  Somewhere in the whirlwind, I forgot, but I did remember the main points after I saw the title.  🙂  Enjoy!

Another sermon in the series where the church is focusing on becoming like Jesus.  Here also are some cute pictures of Emma at the service.  She was wide awake for the first part and enjoyed meeting more people today.  It was a great service this morning, ending with 3 people joining the church- Sherilynn (who has been faithfully coming for the past few months), Bobby (Lucy’s brother who recently has taken leadership positions of teaching Sunday School), and Joe (whose house we worked on in January).  It has been a blessing to see what God is doing and growing his church.  God is so good!  After the service, we had our final choir rehearsal for the Companerismo today.  I keep trying to get a good picture of this choir but am not having a ton of luck!  It’s not always the same group that shows up.  They look and sound pretty good though.  🙂

Totally forgot to post Tim’s sermon from Sunday.  🙂  He also preached the previous week, but Emma and I stayed home and didn’t get to record it.  Emma came with us this week but stayed in the car seat.  She is trying to avoid getting sick.  She still got touched and kissed but at least I could control the amount of time she was handled. 

This week’s service was followed by choir practice.  On September 12th, Primera will be hosting the Companerismo, the fellowship of Hispanic churches.  Our new choir will be performing 3 short pieces of special music.  It is fun singing together in Spanish and English.  Lucy has prepared the music and is leading the choir.  It has been really great to see most of the congregation participate in the choir and come to extra rehearsals for practice.  Hope all goes well!
